E2E Day 6 – Cheddar to St Briavels

E2E Day 6. After a days rest it was back in the saddle. Last week it was hills, hills and more hills. Today it was rain and then more rain.

Thankfully the cycling was easier. We didn’t go through Cheddar Gorge but went along Strawberry Line instead.

Lunch was taken at Portishead and happily after lunch the sun came out.

The highlight of the day was always going to be the crossing of the Severn Bridge and this proved to be a buffering experience to say the least.

Then it was on to YHA St Briavels. This is as stunning a setting as any youth hostel being a 12th century castle. The guys were staying in the Prison and Hanging Rooms.

Tomorrow the adventure continues to Leominster.
