The day started so well! Sarah and I left the house at 7.15am in the morning to meet up with fellow Stockport Community Cycling Club riders to cycle to the start of this weeks ride. The club ride this week was Cuerden Valley,  and the start was at Whittle-Le-Woods, Chorley. So ahead of us lay 35 miles. Through Stretford, Trafford Park, Walkden, and around Bolton. Last Training Ride

The wind was decidedly chilly this evening and the head wind on the way home made it hard work. We went out around the lanes near Poynton, which is always very pleasant! 11 days to go – waving goodbye to our panniers

Tonight we dropped our panniers off for a member of our team to take to the couriers tomorrow. On Tuesday we had waved goodbye to our bikes when taking them Woodsons Cycles in Edgeley where they will be serviced and boxed ready for the couriers. It’s like packing and sending your luggage off two weeks before you go on holiday. Strange. There is also another strange feeling – all these plans we have been making for the last two years…
