11 days to go – waving goodbye to our panniers

Tonight we dropped our panniers off for a member of our team to take to the couriers tomorrow. On Tuesday we had waved goodbye to our bikes when taking them Woodsons Cycles in Edgeley where they will be serviced and boxed ready for the couriers. It’s like packing and sending your luggage off two weeks before you go on holiday. Strange. There is also another strange feeling – all these plans we have been making for the last two years and suddenly they are not just ‘plans’, they are actions being taken. No more editing or changes allowed, it is now really happening. The plans have been made, the training is coming to an end …our End-to-End is really happening.

Talking about training. Tonight was a good night to miss, there has been plenty of rain here in Stockport. Last night was the first Wednesday evening club ride of the year, a quick trip down Reddish Vale and around Brinnington. The ride was shortened due to the wet and muddy conditions, but it was dry compared to this evening. And it doesn”t inspire for tomorrow either. Focus …11 days to go …no more putting anything off now. 🙂
