This Portland Basin 2022 Stockport Community Cycling Club ride followed our annual AGM. It was our first following the sad death of the founder of the club, Jim Court. This new Stockport Community Cycling Club ride, a tour-de-force of South Manchester Parks, started, as it should, from a park. Didsbury Park to be precise. It was a fine spring morning. This week it was my turn to put together a route for our latest lockdown cycle ride. Sarah, in particular, has always wanted to run the Manchester Half Marathon. I’d quite like to do so too, but my foot problems limit the distance I can run these days. Finally, Sarah took the plunge and entered the Manchester Half Marathon as part of her preparations to run next years Manchester Marathon.
