E2E – The best and worst bits?

E2E – The best and worst bits?

Having got back to work and back into ‘real’ life again, I found that most people have asked me the same question: “What were the best bits and what were the worst bits?”. Having been away for just over three weeks, there were so many ‘bits’ to consider that I actually found it quite hard to answer! The Worst Bits The worst bits were running out of energy (which cyclists called The Bonk!) and feeling terrible! For those of you…

E2E Reflections

E2E Reflections

Before moving on with our blog I thought it worth having a last reflection on the End-to-End experience. Apart from the satisfaction of completing an iconic ride, what are my E2E reflections? So whenever possible we took the opportunity of using side roads. We finally arrived at Saltcoats…

E2E Day 16 – Day off in Lochranza (Isle of Arran)

E2E Day 16 – Day off in Lochranza (Isle of Arran)

E2E Day 16. Last night we had a walk to the local hotel for a drink and saw a wonderful sunset. The Isle of Arran looks like such an amazing place! The fact that it is warm & sunny probably helps too! Lochranza is at the top of the island and the village is spread around the bay. As it was a day off today, we decided to keep off our bikes and to go for a bit of a…
