Little Bollington

Little Bollington

We were back to the colder weather as winter draws to a close. Sarah had once again been out for a long-run and we considered not cycling. In the end, we were glad we did. This cycle route out to Little Bollington provided a few pleasant surprises. After leaving home, we began by weaving our way through Davenport and Cheadle. We joined NCN Route 558 and followed this for a while. At Heald Green, we picked up the Airport Orbital…

Following route 85 took us around the side of Manchester Airport. We left Hollin Lane and continued alongside the airport…

At the roundabout junction with Wilmslow Road and Altrincham Road we…

Bruntwood Hall

Bruntwood Hall

Stockport Community Cycling Club‘s first ride of 2018 was to Bruntwood Hall. Sarah was due to lead this ride, while I would be the back-leader. We met in Woodsmoor on a cold Saturday morning, but the colder weather didn’t seem to put off members as they just kept on arriving. It quickly became clear that we would need to split into two groups as we eventually reached thirty-one club members. Therefore, I would lead one group, and Sarah the other. …
