Saturday was the SCCC AGM which was held at the new Brinnington Park Leisure Centre. After the cycling club AGM we went for a ride to Portland Basin. We set off out of Brinnington towards Bredbury Park Industrial Estate. Passing the Mill Lane Recreation Ground, where there was a football match in progress. Saturday was the SCCC Sale Water Park Afternoon Ride. We met at North Reddish Park. We set off an made our way onto the Fallowfield Loop or the Manchester Cycleway as it is also called. We passed past Sainsbury’s at Fallowfield and then continued along the Manchester Cycleway. At then end of the Manchester Cycleway, we passed St Werburgh’s tram station. A visit to the Moravian Settlement is a regular destination for one of Stockport Community Cycling Club‘s Wednesday rides.
