It has been a long time coming but at last the sun has come out as 16 cyclists turned up in Timperley for the latest Stockport Community Cycling Club ride – Croft 2016. In previous years this almost completely flat ride has presented problems – we have been arriving at the lunch stop far too early. Last year Sarah and I were busy when Neil’s Halton Castle ride took place, so we were really looking forward to Stockport Community Cycling Club‘s latest longer ride. Sunday was the Greater Manchester Marathon 2015. As many of you already know, the training plan went to pot during the last couple of months and we were not feeling at all confident before the event.
