SCCC Ride to Lymm

SCCC Ride to Lymm

It was a lovely sunny day, although a little chilly to start with. The Stockport Community Cycling Club ride officially started from Atlantic Street in Broadheath. However we decided to cycle to the starting point. Our route took us out through Cheadle (where we caught up with another member from the club), Gatley, Wythenshawe and Timperley. By the time we reached the official start point we had cycled 11 miles.

The club ride route followed out along the Transpennine Trail (TPT).

We then pulled off and went through Lymm to the services just off the M56.

After lunch we set off back along the Bridgewater canal with proved to be a little slippery in places. Unfortunately Alison slid on the mud and came off her bike. Thankfully she seemed fine.

We arrived back at Atlantic Street having cycled 15 miles.

A group of us then cycled home again. We went on a different route back, which took us through Altrincham centre then out through the golf course round the back of Wythenshawe and through Heald Green, Cheadle Hulme then past Bramhall Park.

We covered almost 13 miles on the way home, making about 40 miles for the day. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable ride!
