E2E Day 10. Following an excellent meal last in Widnes with friends and family Thankfully (a big thanks to all those who came along), today it was back to the cycling.

It was never going to be as pretty, after all we were cycling in the industrial North-West of England, however this proved to be a day we were all glad to see the end of. The reason for this were the strong north-easterly winds we seemed to be riding into all day. We arrived in Lancaster shattered!
Thankfully the photos show that even the industrial heart of England has lovely scenery too.

We also said goodbye to Jim and Barbara this evening. They have been following us up the country from Shrewsbury, helping to carry the luggage of some team members, and find lunch stops. It has been great to have their support and they will be missed.

Tomorrow we cycle to Windermere YHA. It will be half way on our journey and then followed by a rest day.
