Following plenty of food on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and more to come, a bike ride was definitely required! So on Boxing Day morning we left the hotel and set off on a cycle ride to Poole.

We headed down the cliff to Bournemouth town centre.

We picked up the Bourne Valley Greenway (part of NCN 25) which runs alongside Bournemouth Lower, Central and Upper gardens.

We left the Greenway and turned towards Branksome Park on the edge of Poole. We eventually caught site of Poole harbour at Whitecliff Park.

The wind was quite strong along the coastline and we were cycling directly into it.

We followed the coast to Upton Country Park.

Coming out of the park we turned back towards Bournemouth and cycled through Oakstone and Upper Parkstone.

Finally we picked up the Bourne Valley Greenway again. It had started to rain now (for a change).

We finished by having a well earnt cuppa and toastie at Obscura Cafe.

Then it was back to the hotel, a quick shower, before another walk along Bournemouth promenade and another feast.
