We set off from the Woodland Bay Hotel, along the coast road into Girvan, on our way to Blackies Brae. At the outskirts of Girvan, we started climbing. Saturday was the SCCC Macclesfield Circular Ride. Thirteen of us met up at the Riverside Park near Macclesfield.  Andy P was the ride leader for the day and I was the back leader. We set out of the Riverside Park car park and headed onto The Middlewood Way towards Macclesfield. We continued along NCN (National Cycle Network) route 55 towards Sutton. Saturday was the SCCC Lymm 2019 ride starting from Atlantic Street, Altrincham. It was a lovely day as 21 of us met up at the car park at the end of Atlantic Street. Having spent the night in Hawick with some good friends, we were not in a rush to leave and begin our Scottish Borders Day 3 cycling. We went for a walk around Hawick Golf Course. Thursday was the first day of our honeymoon cycle tour, our Scottish Borders Day 1. We cycled from home to Stockport Station where we caught a train to Manchester and then an onward connection to Carlisle.
