Our C2C Day 2 began with us leaving Keswick Youth Hostel on a bright Sunday morning by following NCN route 71 along the Keswick Railway Path. We cycled through Threlkeld. And then on to Greystoke. After breakfast (at YHA Berwick) we waved goodbye to Neil and Des – they were getting a morning train home. However we had most of the day to look around Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Coast and Castles South Day 8. Today was our final day of cycle touring as we completed the final section of the Coast and Castles South route back down to Berwick-Upon-Tweed. We began the day by leaving the Royal Mackintosh Hotel at Dunbar and picking up NCN Route 76. We would follow this route for most of the day. We stopped for a coffee at Pease Bay. Coast and Castles South Day 4. After yesterdays cycle to Lindisfarne today, provided us with another glorious sunny day and our first entry into Scotland. Our destination, following a slight booking mix up, would be Yetholm. Interestingly, today’s ride would prove to be as much about bridges as the coast and the castles.
