When Sarah and I left home this morning to cycle to the start of the Stockport Community Cycling Club Off to See the Wizard ride there was a point when we both doubted whether our legs had the strength to complete it. Having run 12.5 miles as part of our marathon training the previous day the legs were still feeling it. This was also not helped by the strong headwind to the start. Plumley – Cycling With Wind Resistance

The weather forecast had been for rain all day and strong winds – almost enough to put you off a day of cycling! We were due out on an SCCC ride from Timperley out to Plumley and back. As I was the back leader (to make sure no one gets left behind), not going wasn’t an option. At least it wasn’t cold! The ride officially started at the Timperley Cricket Club.
