Stockport Community Cycling Club today joined up with Ceracycloan, Woodsons Cycles and Tandem Coffee House this weekend in organising a Women on Wheels Cycling Day as part of TfGMs Women on Wheels month. This is a programme of female-friendly events aimed at supporting women who cycle or wanting to give it a go. For the Stockport event the day started at Ceracycloan where there were free bike checks and minor adjustments by Ceracycloan and Woodsons Cycles mechanics. SCCC Tour de Stockport

Saturday was the SCCC Tour de Stockport.  It started fromLowland Road near Woodsmoor Station, where 20 of us met up. A very nice day for cycling it was too! We cycled along part of the Fred Perry way which runs alongside the Mirlees fields. We then used the roads through the housing estates and eventually into Bramhall Park.
