Tatton Park 2018 – The End of Year Ride

Tatton Park 2018 – The End of Year Ride

This Tatton Park 2018 cycle ride was the latest in what has become a bit of tradition, a beginning/end of year cycle ride to Tatton Park – see here for 2014, 2016 and 2017 versions. It brought down the curtain on another fine year of cycling. It was a cool and damp morning that saw a large group of Stockport Community Cycling Club cyclists meet at Gatley Rail station, eager to burn off a few of those Christmas calories. Sarah was…

Tatton Park via Lymm

Tatton Park via Lymm

While we often cycle through Tatton Park, this new route, which Neil had put together, would bring us to the park via Lymm. It was a strong turnout of Stockport Community Cycling Club members that arrived at Timperley Sports Club on a hot summer Sunday in July. In fact, there were so many of us that we split into two groups. Neil led one group with Sarah as his back-leader. While Andy S, originally pencilled in as the back-leader, now…

Anderton Boat Lift 2018

Anderton Boat Lift 2018

Sarah and I met up with the rest of our fellow Stockport Community Cycling Club members at Wilmslow Leisure Centre for this Anderton Boat Lift 2018 thirty mile ride. Plantation 2018

Plantation 2018

There was a healthy turnout at Timperley Sports Club for this Stockport Community Cycling Club Plantation 2018 cycle ride. It meant we had to break into two groups. Gill was the ride leader for the first group. While I have often led the second group when needed, I allocated the responsibility to Andy S on this occasion. The photos that follow, therefore, are taken with this second group. Sarah, unfortunately, couldn’t join us. She needed to travel for work reasons. It was a…

SCCC Tatton Park 2017

SCCC Tatton Park 2017

Sunday was the annual SCCC Tatton Park ride, the last ride of 2017. I had been due to lead the ride but having been unwell for most of December, Andy volunteered to lead it in my place. I swapped with Neil, who was due to be the back leader and he instead became Andy’s wing man and was chief corner marker. We met up in the car park for Gatley Station. There were 23 of us altogether. We left Gatley…
