Reivers Route Day 3 always promised to be a different experience than the opening days of the tour with large sections being off-road, and so it proved to be. Pennine Cycleway Day 3 – Bellingham to Alston

Today on Pennine Cycleway – Day 3 we cycled from Bellingham to Alston. Bellingham Bunkhouse was a good place to stay. The ride started with a big climb – a theme for the day! As we reached Keilder Forest, we found some interesting scarecrows. Once past Keilder,  we crossed over Hadrian’s Wall. We stopped at Haltwhistle for lunch.
