E2E Day 22. Leaving Helmsdale Youth Hostel took us straight up a big long hill! Along the A9 and then onto the A99. E2E Day 21 – Inverness to Helmsdale

E2E Day 21. Following a week of picture postcard scenery, today was back to reality. This was the longest day of our journey covering 73 miles. We set off over the Moray Firth. Then followed National Cycle Network paths through Bridgend to Tain where we had lunch.    The afternoon proved a fairly relentless relentless slog straight up the busy A9.
