Hadrian’s Cycleway Day 5 yesterday saw the completion of the route. Today, Hadrian’s Cycleway Day 6, it was time to go back home to Stockport. Well today was Hadrian’s Cycleway Day 5 and our last day of cycling Hadrian’s Cycleway. We left Corbridge and headed out down the country lanes. Along the way we passed a small cottage (owned by the National Trust) which is where George Stephenson was born (and lived until he was 8). This Sea-to-Sea (C2C) Itinerary covers our final tour of the year, which will undertake at the end of summer. This is, of course, the UK’s most popular Coast-to-Coast route for cyclists. Sarah and I have already completed quite a few coast-to-coast tours, including of course the End-to-End (LEJOG). However, perhaps surprisingly, the Sea-to-Sea (C2C) is not one we have tackled.
