Tour De Stockport 2019

Tour De Stockport 2019

All week, the weather forecast for Saturday hadn’t looked good. So, it was quite surprising to see fourteen cyclists arrive at Woodsmoor for this Stockport Community Cycling Club Tour De Stockport 2019 adventure. I was leading this ride, and Sarah would be the back-leader. As we started the ride and cycled through Woodmoor it was dry. We crossed over the railway line using the bridge at the end of Cromley Road. This took us into Bramhall. We cycled through Bramhall…

Halls Route 2018

Halls Route 2018

The Stockport Community Cycling Club Halls Route 2018 was a modified version of a regular SCCC ride, though interestingly, it hasn’t actually been on the calendar for the last few years (see here for the 2015 edition). SCCC Abney Park Afternoon Ride

SCCC Abney Park Afternoon Ride

Saturday was the SCCC Abney Park Afternoon Ride. The ride started from the footbridge near the Pyramid, where 11 of us met up. Andy was the ride leader and Andy S was the back leader. We then turned right ad followed the track running parallel to the  motorway. We  turned off and…

Thankfully, we had quite a few leaders out today, and I would lead the second group with Sarah being my back-leader for this group. First, however, there was a little ceremony…

Bruntwood Hall

Bruntwood Hall

Stockport Community Cycling Club‘s first ride of 2018 was to Bruntwood Hall. Sarah was due to lead this ride, while I would be the back-leader. We met in Woodsmoor on a cold Saturday morning, but the colder weather didn’t seem to put off members as they just kept on arriving. It quickly became clear that we would need to split into two groups as we eventually reached thirty-one club members. Therefore, I would lead one group, and Sarah the other. …
