Cheadle Circular

Cheadle Circular

Fifteen Stockport Community Cycling Club cyclists met at Torkington Park on a typical spring morning for this Cheadle Circular cycle ride. The route had been put together by Tracey and she was leading the first of two groups. Sarah was leading this second ride, Lesley was the back leader, and I had a free pass for a change! It seemed a typical club ride morning. Club leader Jim and his wife Barbara turned up walking the dog, just to say…

Cheadle Hulme Circular Afternoon Ride

Cheadle Hulme Circular Afternoon Ride

After the previous weekends’ snowy ride to Lymm, it was pleasing to arrive in far more pleasant weather at Adswood Park. There was a good turn out with quite a few new riders. We set off along part of the Fred Perry way making our way towards Stockport Georgians Playing Fields. We hadn’t got very far before one of the riders realised that they had dropped something and went back to…

Bruntwood Park

Bruntwood Park

It was a fine day as a large group of Stockport Community Cycling Club members met near Woodsmoor Rail Station ready for Graham’s cycle ride to Bruntwood Park. I was back leading. We began by cycling towards Davenport. And then through Adswood. On our way to Edgeley. Passing through Sykes’s Reservoir. For awhile we picked up NCN Route 62 – the Trans Pennine Trail. The route follows the River Mersey. Eventually we turned off and made our way towards Cheadle….
