Sunday took Sarah and I to Rivington for the latest ride in Stockport Community Cycling Club‘s longer ride series. eXtra Rides are Stockport Community Cycling Club‘s advanced rides – they are intended to go a little further and be a little more challenging. Of these there are usually two in each calendar year that are advertised as hilly, and Rivington eXtra was the autumnal hilly eXtra Ride in this years calendar. The ride began at Rivington Hall Barn. The day started so well! Sarah and I left the house at 7.15am in the morning to meet up with fellow Stockport Community Cycling Club riders to cycle to the start of this weeks ride. The club ride this week was Cuerden Valley,  and the start was at Whittle-Le-Woods, Chorley. So ahead of us lay 35 miles. Through Stretford, Trafford Park, Walkden, and around Bolton.
