SCCC Weekend in York – Day 1
This weekend was the Stockport Community Cycling Club weekend in York. We met up at Hartshead Moor Services on the M62 for coffee and then drove on to York.
We parked up at the Designer Outlet and unloaded our bikes.
Once we were all ready, we set off on a bike ride. We went over the Millennium Bridge, which was also being used for a big Sky Ride!
Our route then took us through York Racecourse.
After crossing the racecourse we joined up with the Sun and Solar System rail cycle path.
There seemed to be rather a lot of school boy humour about taking photos of Uranus!
We continued on to Riccall, where we stopped at Hare and Hounds pub for lunch.
After a wonderful buffet lunch we headed back on the quiet lanes to the vehicles. A very pleasant ride it was too! About 20 miles.

We were staying at York University.
We had a very nice evening there.
