Relaxing in Norwich

Relaxing in Norwich

After our journey over to Norwich on Friday and then spending a day in Ipswich on Saturday, today was a day for relaxing in Norwich.

The sun was out and a stroll following the Norwich Riverside Walk seemed a perfect way to start the day.

The walk follows the River Wensum.

The walk passes Cow Tower owned by English Heritage.

No visit to Norwich is complete without a visit to the Norwich Cathedral. We headed there next.

It is an impressive and spiritual place to walk around. You can certainly sense God’s presence.

Since it was such a sunny and warm day we decided to relax next with a different kind of spirit, one served by the Lamb Inn.

It was so relaxing we could have stayed there all evening. However our stomach’s called us away. So we went to Oasis Indian restaurant for our  evening meal.

Then another stroll was called for. We passed the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, the second largest Catholic Cathedral in the UK.

We also passed St Giles Church another of Norwich”s impressive and historic church buildings.

Finally our way back to the hotel took us past the civic centre and Jarrold, the city’s famous department store.

By now it was time to put an end to the day, so that is what we did.
