Fools Nook 2015
Today was the SCCC Fools Nook 2015 ride.We met up at Torkington Park.
We set off through Torkington and then along to Nelson’s Pit.
We had not been going for too long when we had a quick stop at Nelson’s Pit (to make use of the facilities).
We made our way to Bollington.
After Bollington we headed through Kerridge
It was a day with quite a bit of climbing!
The views from the tops where fairly spectacular. It was a bright, clear day and you could see for miles.
Just outside Macclesfield, we stopped at the Fairways Garden Centre for lunch.
After lunch, we headed out towards Oakgrove and then on to Siddington.
We stopped for a while besides Reedsmere to chill out and watch the birds, some even had an ice cream!
It was then time to continue and make our way back to the starting point at Torkington Park.
It was quite a hilly ride, we climbed 2385 feet and cycled 38 miles. Although the ride was called Fools Nook, we didn’t actually get to see it, although it was apparently somewhere near Sutton Reservoir.
