E2E Day 1. Land’s End Youth Hostel is a lovely house nestling just outside St Just, and the journey to it had been mainly sunny. Today however was a different matter. We were greeted by a misty morning at Land’s End itself.

After that it was a constant drizzle throughout the day and sadly as a result the views were minimal. At least the wind was behind us all day and the temperatures fine, and we were thankful for that.

The lunch stop proved problematic. We arrived at the planned stop only to be told it had closed three months earlier. Anyway, paella at a Cafe Lisboa, a Portugese cafe in Redruth a little later and the closed place was soon forgotten.
We arrived at Perranporth YH after 50 miles of cycling rather wet. The views from the YH though are tremendous.

Tomorrow we are off to Boscastle.
