Well I missed the club ride at the weekend (having been invited to go to London for the weekend to see Bruce Springsteen – how could I refuse?) so have done some running instead. I managed 2 miles on Friday night and another 2 miles last night, getting wet both times!

Tonight, once the rain had stopped we popped out for what I thought was going to be a quick cycle ride around Poynton. Andy had a slightly different idea & took us up the Old Brickworks as well. For those who don’t know the area around Pott Shrigley – its a big hill!

We cycled about 20 miles, climbed about 1200 feet and managed to miss the rain! All good training for the Manchester 100 at the beginning of September.

Tomorrow there is a SCCC club ride from Poynton Pool, some of the same route as we did tonight (but without the big hill!!!)
