Let’s Visit Boscombe

Let’s Visit Boscombe

Sarah and I recently made a short visit to Boscombe. We have been to Bournemouth and Boscombe many times, it is where my brother lives. Indeed, the reason for this visit was my brother’s birthday. That, and the fact we haven’t seen him for over a year due to the covid lockdown. It was by chance we ended up staying in Boscombe. We just happened to pick The Westby Guest House. This proved a great little place to stay. We…

Inside, it is divided into different temperate regions. Next, we wandered around the Four Seasons garden, which is constantly changing throughout the…

Anglesey Abbey, Gardens and Lode Mill

Anglesey Abbey, Gardens and Lode Mill

Sarah has been taking a runners coaching course in Cambridge. There are four days to the course. This weekend was the first two days. While Sarah was on the first day I cycled to Ely and visited Wicken Fen on the way. For this second day, I visited Anglesey Abbey. Interestingly, part of my cycle ride had included a section called the Lodes Way. This is part of NCN Route 11 connecting Wicken Fen to Anglesey Abbey. There are lots…
