Ayrshire Alps – Day 1 : Blackies Brae
We set off from the Woodland Bay Hotel, along the coast road into Girvan, on our way to Blackies Brae.
At the outskirts of Girvan, we started climbing.

About half way along we got to a village called Barr.
We stopped in Barr at the local shop for some refreshments. It was a great little place and had some lovely cakes.
Leaving Barr, we headed towards Pinmore.

We turned off the main road at a sign for a farm shop, which was a short cut down to the coast road.
When we reached the coast road, we turned left and cycled back to the hotel.
It had been a good ride, we had cycled 22 miles. I had struggled up the hills but the views had been great.
