Our second cycle ride of our Ayrshire Alps weekend, and our most challenging, would take us over Nic o’ Balloch. We set off from the Woodland Bay Hotel, along the coast road into Girvan, on our way to Blackies Brae. At the outskirts of Girvan, we started climbing.
