Coast & Castles North Day 3 – Drumoig to Arbroath

We left Drumoig Golf Hotel and set off on Coast & Castles North Day 3 to Arbroath. We had to cycle back to where we had left the route the previous evening. We set off initially towards Tentsmuir. We cycled through the Tentsmuir forest, stopping to look at the water at Tentsmuir Point. Our route then took us through Tayport. From Tayport, we made our way to the Tay Road Bridge. Sunday was our Coast and Castles North Day 1. However, before we did any cycling we had a trip around Edinburgh Castle which had been arranged by the lovely Ali. Arriving at Edinburgh Castle, they were getting ready for the Royal Tattoo. There were quite a number of military museum’s to look around. Saturday was the SCCC Sale Water Park Afternoon Ride. We met at North Reddish Park. We set off an made our way onto the Fallowfield Loop or the Manchester Cycleway as it is also called. We passed past Sainsbury’s at Fallowfield and then continued along the Manchester Cycleway. At then end of the Manchester Cycleway, we passed St Werburgh’s tram station.
