Sunday was the SCCC Plumley Ride where 16 of us met up at Timperley Sports Club. We left Timperley sports centre and headed out towards Hale. We skirted around Tatton Park. Making our way through Knutsford. having passed through Knutsford, we headed out onto some quiet lanes towards Plumley. We stopped at the Plantation Cafe in Plumley for lunch. 76084 Steam Train in Stockport

The locomotive 76084 steam train came to Stockport today on it’s way to Buxton. It is not too often that there is steam train in Stockport, so we had to go and see it! The 76084 along with the 45690 locomotive were pulling a spar express to Buxton as a private charter. Saturday was the SCCC cycle ride to Astley. Andy and I cycled to the start but stopped off at Longford Park for the Stretford Parkrun, which I ran and Andy watched. It was a bright but rather cool day on Sunday for the SCCC Redesmere Ride. We met up at Davenport Green. Visit to Hurst Castle

During our trip to Bournemouth, on the Tuesday after Christmas, we went for a visit to Hurst Castle. It is an English Heritage site but is locally managed by Hurst Castle Ferries. We parked near Milford-on-Sea and walked over Cut Bridge and then walked along the Hurst Spit towards Hurst Castle. It was a bright sunny day but with it being winter, the sun was low in the sky.
