Ladybank

Ladybank

Sarah and I have taken a few days off work to visit her cousin Clive (and his wife Sally). When we have a long journey we like to break it up, and on this occasion we took the opportunity to visit our friends Kevin and Jules who live in the small village of Ladybank in The Kingdom of Fife’.

Our first day (Thursday) was mainly spent travelling -and of course stopping off for a few cuppa’s.

We finally arrived in Ladybank around 6pm and enjoyed a meal and a relaxing evening chatting over a few drinks. It was great to catch up on events.

The following morning after breakfast we went for a walk around the area.

We briefly passed through the village.

Our walk began with a walk through South Annsmuir Forest.

It was a lovely late winter morning and great to be outside.

Sometimes you had the sun shining through and giving a glimpse of Spring to come.

We skirted around the edge of the forest.

The last section of the forest went alongside the local golf club and to get back we needed to cross the course.

From here Kevin and Jules took us on to another little forest – Monkstown Wood.

The sun was really shining by now the snowdrops popping up but it was time to move on.

We headed back to Kevin and Jules home for lunch. We had walked approximately 4.5 very enjoyable miles.

After lunch it was time to say our goodbyes. It had only been a short stay but Sarah and I had thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ladybank.

Next stop Ordiefork and Midmar.
