Halls Route 2018

Halls Route 2018

The Stockport Community Cycling Club Halls Route 2018 was a modified version of a regular SCCC ride, though interestingly, it hasn’t actually been on the calendar for the last few years (see here for the 2015 edition). The route passes by, or near to, a number of historically interesting old halls within the Stockport borough. We met at Ceracycloan, where staff were interested in showing us a few new cycling items. Then it was on to the ride itself. Graham…

Bruntwood Hall

Bruntwood Hall

Stockport Community Cycling Club‘s first ride of 2018 was to Bruntwood Hall. Sarah was due to lead this ride, while I would be the back-leader. Around Poynton Again – The 2017 Ride

Another Tour de Stockport

Another Tour de Stockport

Saturday was the SCCC Tour de Stockport ride, which is a ride that we last did in 2015 (see that post here). We met upon Lowlands Road near Woodsmoor Station. There was a good turn out with quite a few new riders. We set off along part of the Fred Perry way making our way towards Stockport Georgians Playing Fields. We hadn’t got very far before one of the riders realised that they had dropped something and went back to…

Bruntwood Park

Bruntwood Park

It was a fine day as a large group of Stockport Community Cycling Club members met near Woodsmoor Rail Station ready for Graham’s cycle ride to Bruntwood Park. I was back leading. We began by cycling towards Davenport. And then through Adswood. On our way to Edgeley. Passing through Sykes’s Reservoir. For awhile we picked up NCN Route 62 – the Trans Pennine Trail. The route follows the River Mersey. Eventually we turned off and made our way towards Cheadle….
