As we left Widnes Travelodge on TPT Day 2 it was a cool and misty morning. All was set for an enjoyable day of cycle touring. We decided on breakfast at the nearby Brewers Fayre. Today was the TPT Day 1 – Southport to Widnes. Yesterday we got the train to Southport and stopped over at the Travelodge. After a wander around Southport this morning, and stopping for coffee. Potentially JOGLE Day 10 in many ways seemed to offer the least exciting day of the tour. The first half of the day at least would be through the industrial north-west of England.
