This Macclesfield Circular 2021 cycle route repeated our Stockport Community Cycling Club ride of 2017 and 2019. It has always proved to be a ride enjoyed by our members for being challenging while surrounded by some lovely scenery. Out to Macc via the Brickworks

After missing last Sundays coronavirus lockdown ride due to being on our Bay Cycle Way tour, things were back to normal this weekend. This weekend it was Tracey’s turn to plan the route, and she decided to take us out to Macc, or more correctly, Macclesfield. We met at Poynton Pool and headed out up Towers Road. SCCC Macclesfield Circular

Saturday was the SCCC Macclesfield Circular Ride. Thirteen of us met up at the Riverside Park near Macclesfield. Andy P was the ride leader for the day and I was the back leader. We set out of the Riverside Park car park and headed onto The Middlewood Way towards Macclesfield. We continued along NCN (National Cycle Network) route 55 towards Sutton. We met at Timperley for this Stockport Community Cycling Club longer ride to Sutton. For a change this promised to be a cycle in some fine weather. Macclesfield Lumps

A healthy number of Stockport Community Cycling Club members met at Torkington Park for Alec’s ‘Macclesfield Lumps’ ride. Sarah and I had been on a two hour run as part of our Conwy Half-Marathon training the previous day and were still feeling the miles in our legs.
