Saturday was Ravens Route Day 1, and the start of our Ravens Route Tour (Ravenglass to Ravenscar). Most of us travelled up in a van, although Ian had to go by train as the van couldn’t carry quite enough people. We did carry his bike and bags for him though. Hadrian’s Cycleway Day 1 – The next adventure begins

Today was our Hadrian’s Cycleway Day 1, the start of our latest cycle tour adventure. We got the train up to Ravenglass, arriving at lunchtime. The official Hadrian’s Cycleway starting point is the Roman Bath house, so we made our way there passing the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway station. From here the route started along the coast up to Seascale. The paths were a little overgrown in places. As we dropped down into Seascale,  there were some great views of the beach….
