Gawsworth 2018

Gawsworth 2018

It was a fine Autumn morning that saw a healthy number of Stockport Community Cycling Club riders meet at Bramhall library for this Gawsworth 2018 cycle ride. Indeed, there were enough riders that we split into two groups. Sarah and I would lead the second group. The route began with us weaving our way through Bramhall and Woodford. We had been there recently – to Jodrell Bank in November, and to Goostrey just before Christmas – however this was a cycle ride approaching these destinations from a different direction. We arrived at Wilmslow Leisure Centre for the…

Siddington – Via Mottram St Andrew and Jodrell Bank

Siddington – Via Mottram St Andrew and Jodrell Bank

Sometimes you look outside early on an Autumn Sunday morning, rain pouring down, and the thought of cycling to Siddington is …well, not immediately appealing. However the reason why we love cycling is because when the rain abates and you pluck up the determination to step foot outside and ride to the start something special happens. More often than not the rest of the days weather is fine, the cycling is great, and you find yourself feeling really glad you made the effort. This…
