Back in August Stockport Community Cycling Club assisted with the marshalling of the Big Stockport Cycle. The route proved a popular one, so why not the same ride – but in reverse? The idea for the Big Stockport Cycle in Reverse had begun … Beginning at the Pyramid near Stockport Town Centre the route began by cycling over the top of the centre via Heaton Norris. Andy had realised that Stockport Community Cycling Club didn’t actually do a ride around Stockport itself and he decided that should change. The answer was the Stockport Circular Ride that we did on Saturday! We met near Woodsmoor Station. The route took us along the Fred Perry Way and then into Bramhall Park. Through Cheadle Hulme, then Bruntwood Park. Just after leaving Bruntwood Park, one of the group had a puncture, so there were some emergency repairs before we continued….
