The SCCC Eaton Ride 2017 was on Sunday. We met in the lay-by outside The Deanwater Hotel. We set off along Lees Lane and made our way towards Prestbury. We cycled through Prestbury village. Middlewich 2017

Middlewich 2017

Cycle rides to Middlewich are becoming a bit of a jinx for Sarah. She had been due to lead today, but following a serious fall on yesterday’s Women on Wheels ride this was not possible. A Gawsworth Christmas Cycle Ride

A Gawsworth Christmas Cycle Ride

Macclesfield Lumps

Macclesfield Lumps

A healthy number of Stockport Community Cycling Club members met at Torkington Park for Alec’s ‘Macclesfield Lumps’ ride. Sarah and I had been on a two hour run as part of our Conwy Half-Marathon training the previous day and were still feeling the miles in our legs. The talk of hills and lumps suggested we were going to struggle. The route began by heading out to Bollington. From Middlewood we climbed up through Higher Poynton and on to Pott Shrigley….
