We had rocked up to Selkirk at the end of Anglo-Scottish Border 2. Anglo-Scottish Border Day 3 would see us visit the four Borders Abbeys – Melrose, Dryburgh, Jedburgh, Kelso – and finishing at Kelso. St Cuthbert’s Way Walk Day 2 would see us walking from Newton St Boswells to Jedfoot Bridge – a distance of about 15 miles. Having stayed at the Drybough Arms pub in Newton St Boswell, we were heading off to Jedfoot Bridge for our second day of the St Cuthbert’s Way walk.
