Well today was Hadrian’s Cycleway Day 5 and our last day of cycling Hadrian’s Cycleway. We left Corbridge and headed out down the country lanes. Along the way we passed a small cottage (owned by the National Trust) which is where George Stephenson was born (and lived until he was 8). Following yesterdays entry into Hadrian’s Wall Country, Hadrian’s Cycleway Day 4 enabled us to visit a further three Roman forts as we continued our journey. It was yet another lovely sunny day as we left our little cottage at Haltwhistle.    Our first fort of the day was Vindolanda Roman Fort.
