A healthy number of Stockport Community Cycling Club members met at Torkington Park for Alec’s ‘Macclesfield Lumps’ ride. Sarah and I had been on a two hour run as part of our Conwy Half-Marathon training the previous day and were still feeling the miles in our legs. Middlewood Way

The latest Stockport Community Cycling Club ride saw us off along the Middlewood Way on an overcast and quite cold day. The Middlewood Way is an old railway line between Marple and Macclesfield.    The first few miles are deceptive since it is a gradual climb to Higher Poynton. Then it is on to Bollington. Following our exploits around Porthmadog it was back to our regular club rides this weekend. This meant joining Stockport Community Cycling Club as we cycled to High Legh Station.
