Off To See The Wizard 2015

Off To See The Wizard 2015

When Sarah and I left home this morning to cycle to the start of the Stockport Community Cycling Club Off to See the Wizard ride there was a point when we both doubted whether our legs had the strength to complete it. Having run 12.5 miles as part of our marathon training the previous day the legs were still feeling it. This was also not helped by the strong headwind to the start. Off to High Legh Station

Sarah was leading this ride and I was the back leader. We actually cycled the ride twice in two days since we reccied the ride on the Saturday before the real thing on the Sunday. The photos included in this blog posting are a combination of both days. As you will…

SCCC Ride to Lymm

It was a lovely sunny day, although a little chilly to start with. The Stockport Community Cycling Club ride officially started from Atlantic Street in Broadheath. However we decided to cycle to the starting point. Our route took us out through Cheadle (where we caught up with another member from the club), Gatley, Wythenshawe and Timperley. By the time we reached the official start point we had cycled 11 miles. The club ride route followed out along the Transpennine Trail…
