Nether Alderley

Nether Alderley

It is likely to be awhile the coronavirus lockdown restrictions are lifted enough for the Stockport Community Cycling Club cycle rides to begin again. In the meantime, Sarah and I continue to enjoy finding routes ourselves. This weekend we headed out to Nether Alderley. It was a fine Saturday morning. Prestbury would be…

Thankfully, we are being allowed one exercise session per day. Sarah and I decided to use this one to go cycling. The cycling organisations are advising us to keep our rides short(ish), so a quick pootle up to Pott Shrigley seemed ideal. We began by heading out through Hazel Grove. After…

Manchester Airport and the Bypass

Manchester Airport and the Bypass

Saturday morning brought another fine group of Stockport Community Cycling Club cyclists to Torkington Park. This was a new route to the airport and back along the new bypass put together by Tracey. Although cool as we set off through the park, we were looking forward to some fine cycling weather according to the weather forecasts. Leaving the park, we cycled up Torkington Road. Then joined NCN Route 55 and the Middlewood Way. We followed this for the next few…
