Standing on Arthur’s Seat
We had originally planned to undertake this walk the previous day, but as we often do changed our plans to suit our mood. So it was now a fresh cool Tuesday morning when we left Edinburgh Tune Hotel bound for Holyrood Park.
Not before we stopped off for a coffee at Jacob Artisan Bakery though. A great little place and highly recommended.
We started the walk from the car park near to the village of Duddingston and headed up Jacob”s Ladder, by Crow Hill, and straight up Arthur’s Seat.
The views from the top were fabulous.
We dropped down from Arthur’s Seat via Nether Hill and Guttit Haddie.
We next followed Radical Road which as we went along offered us some great views over Queens Drive and other well known Edinburgh tourist places.
Continuing round we passed St Anthony’s Chapel.
Just past St Anthony”s Chapel is St Margaret’s Loch.
We then followed the edge of the park.
We went over Dunsapie Hill and by Dunsapie Loch.
Finally we dropped back back down to the car park.
After having something to eat we decided on a quick look at Duddingston Village.
Finally it was time to head for home.
