St Cuthbert’s Way Coast-to-Coast Day 7 – Lindisfarne to Berwick-upon-Tweed
Having reached Lindisfarne on St Cuthbert’s Way Coast-to-Coast Day 6, Andy and I still had more cycling to do. St Cuthbert’s Way Coast-to-Coast Day 7 we had to cycle from Lindisfarne to Berwick-upon-Tweed in order to catch a train home.
As it had been for most of the week, it was another gloriously sunny day, even if it was a bit windy.
For a final time, we crossed the causeway.
Then picked up the coastal path and NCN route 1. We had cycled this path before on our Coast and Castles South tour.
Soon we were cycling through the sand dunes.
Passing Goswick Sands and Cheswick Sands along the way.
A few miles further on we could see the cliffs and in the distance Spittal.
It was a glorious ride along the cliff as we cycled towards Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Eventually, we reached Spittal and then Tweedmouth.
Before crossing over the River Tweed into Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Then decided to have some lunch at The Coffee Stop.
Finally, however, it was time to catch the train home.
