Quick trip to Hardwick Hall
Friday we were off work. Andy had his final assignment for his OU course to be in by 12 noon – he only just got it in on time. After lunch we set off for a long weekend in Norwich. To break up the journey we stopped at Hardwick Hall, which is maintained by the National Trust and the old hall by English Heritage.
We arrived just in time for the last entry to the house, which only gave us 30 minutes to look around the Hall!
We didn’t have enough time to look at things in detail but were there for long enough to know we want to go back for a whole day!
The old hall is next to it, although we were too late to go inside.
However we still had time to visit the cafe for tea and cake!
We had to leave then and continue our journey to Norwich, where we were staying at the Travelodge in the centre of Norwich.
Our journey meant that we drove through all sorts of weather, including sleet!
