End-to-End (JOGLE) Itinerary
Below you will find our End-to-End (JOGLE) Itinerary. We will undertake our JOGLE tour in summer 2015 when a team of five adventurous cyclists – Andy P, Andy S, Sarah, Neil and Tracey (plus support driver Nic) – will set off on this iconic British long-distance End-to-End tour.
We will be cycling over 925 miles in just over two weeks as we make our way from John o’Groats to Land’s End.
Along the way, we shall be cycling through some of the most spectacular scenery in the British Isles from the Highlands of Scotland, the Lake District in northern England, through to the coves of Devon and Cornwall. We shall also be visiting historic cities, market towns and sleepy villages, just the best this island has to offer. Yes, it will be a truly memorable cycle tour!

Hiya, I have just started planning my own JOGLE trip and came across your itinerary- we have almost the same dates! I am hoping to start off from JOG too on the 13th or 14th June with the aim of getting to glastonbury in time for the festival, then finishing the trip off after the 28th. At the moment I am doing it on my own so was just wondering if you have any other planning tips/ other accommodation/ routes etc you looked at? Maybe see you en route somewhere if it all comes off!
Hi Tabi, Thanks for your comment. As for advice, well there is of course no official route but there are quite a few resources on the CTC website. We planned our route with the aim of cycling a consistent daily number of miles, approx 60-65 miles per day. We are happy to stay at youth hostels, and if one is not available Travelodges and B&Bs. I would recommend avoiding major where possible (i.e. A9, A6, A30 etc) and following national cycle network routes where practical. And finally pack and take as little as you can possibly get away with. Wishing you every success on your JOGLE, and yes would be good to see you en-route. My biggest tip however is to make sure you enjoy it, don’t rush it – it is the cycle trip of a lifetime 🙂
Hope you get the weather fingers crossed hear Who is the interepid 5 they sound like a book I once read.
Hi Kev, thanks for the comment. Point taken about the team members. Though their names are mentioned in the main E2E page (https://www.cycleit2.com/cycle-tours/end-to-end-jogle-2015/) that isn’t obvious from the post. I have accordingly updated the post and added everyone’s name.
sounds great Andy, I’m sure you all will make and enjoy it. Ride safely. Paul
