Cheshire Cycleway
The coronavirus lockdown has meant that our original cycle tour plans have been shelved for this year. Instead, we found a fantastic little cycle tour route right here on our doorstep – the Cheshire Cycleway.
This 176-mile cycle route, the Cheshire Cycleway takes you through some of the finest scenery you are likely to find. It is a circular route around the county of Cheshire and covers a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep climbs in the Peak District to a network of quiet country lanes across the Wirral Peninsula. There are rich fertile fields, rocky ridges, rivers and canals combined to ensure the view is always enticing. While friendly villages and a host of attractions mean there’s always somewhere interesting to stop, stretch your legs and enjoy a bite to eat.
Our team for this cycle tour was Andy P, Sarah, Andy S and Neil.
NOTE: Sadly, we didn’t quite finish the tour. See the Day 5 blog post for the reason why.
